FROM DOWNLOAD TO YOUR FIRST LOGIN
Your journey starts
in three steps.
Start with one launcher. It installs the full Ascension client and checks for updates every time you play.

Download the launcher
Download Ascension.exe and place it in a new, empty folder on your PC. Allow at least 65 GB of free disk space for installation.

Install automatically
Double-click Ascension.exe. It downloads and installs the full game, verifies the files and applies current updates. The first download is approximately 18.1 GB.
- 03
Play and stay updated
The game starts automatically when ready. Always use Ascension.exe: future starts download only published changes before launching the game.
Always start with Ascension.exe. Updates and the login connection are handled automatically. Close all game windows before applying an update.

ALREADY HAVE ASCENSION?
Close the game and the old launcher. Download the latest Ascension.exe above, replace it in your existing Ascension folder and open it. It installs the current updates, including VIP. You do not need to download the full game again.

A little guidance.
Can I use my old H5 client?
Use Ascension.exe in its own folder and let it install the Ascension client. Do not combine it with the existing L2CraftWorld H5 client, an old patch or another server’s files. Your Ascension and H5 installations can be kept in separate folders.
Which file should I start?
Start Ascension.exe in your Ascension folder. It installs missing game files and checks for published updates before starting the game. Do not start L2.exe directly from the system folder. You can create a desktop shortcut to Ascension.exe.
What if I get stuck at “Logging in”?
Close the game and older launchers, then start Ascension.exe again. Let the launcher finish installing the game in its own folder. If you need help, send Online-connection.log from the client folder to the server administrator. Never share your game password.
Where is my original L2CraftWorld H5 server?
The existing H5 server keeps its own website and client. Return to the H5 website →
